Giving Back
We look outward to the community, knowing the depth of support we receive from our guests, especially the Wine Club members, volunteer harvesters and our “Flat Creek Family.” We believe in giving back, so cash gratuities are forwarded to select beneficiaries.
We look inward to our staff members, who give their best efforts in teamwork and teaching about tasting, food pairing and Flat Creek Estate wines. In the spirit of encouraging that attitude, their weekend work reaches for quality rather than competing for tips. We have a “non-tipping” philosophy at Flat Creek Estate, in both the Bistro and the Tasting Room.
Beneficiaries are selected each year and invited to the “Divas and Diamonds” semi-formal dinner event in November. Benold’s Jewelers pairs their jewels with Flat Creek Estate’s dinner and wines for a festive benefit dinner. Past beneficiaries have included the Susan Koman breast cancer foundation, Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong and “ A World for Children (AWFC).” The AWFC group provides foster care and adoptions in several Texas cities, with a special program to educate extended families who provide foster care. AWFC , based in Round Rock, operates with the able guidance of Paul and Sharon Willis.
